How to unlock additional forge slots in Genshin Impact

Forging in Genshin Impact is vital if you want to be able to level up your weapons. You will need Enhancement Ores to increase their level, upping their damage, and improving the buffs that they provide. You can even use prototypes that you find in the game to build new weapons.

Enhancement Ore is gotten by forging resources like Iron, White Iron, and Crystal, and this can be done at a Blacksmith. When you first start playing the game the Blacksmith will only have one slot that you can use, but you will be able to open up more of them. To do this, you will need to increase your Adventure Rank. This is quite easy and is done by simply playing the game.

The other slots will unlock when you hit Rank 5, 10, and 15. The good news is that you can forge multiples of the same item in each slot. So if you have 20 Iron chunks you can place them all in one slot, then come back later to collect them. This way you don’t have to sit there mindlessly placing ores into the slots and can play other parts of the game while you wait for them to forge.

There will be a Mora cost, the game’s equivalent of gold, so always make sure you keep an eye on how much it is all costing you so you don’t leave yourself short. Mora is easy to earn, however, and will just passively build as you play through the game by killing monsters, finishing quests, and completing dungeons.
