You begin your journey in Animal Crossing: New Horizons by creating your character, answering some questions from the Nooks, and then picking your island. After that, you are whisked away to your island and will begin getting to grips with island life.
The first thing you will need to do is meet Tom Nook, then place your tent. You can also help the other islanders to place their tents, which will help you to all get along together.
After that, you will need to return to Tom Nook and collect some items for a party. When it’s all over, you will be asked to come up with a name for the island. All the characters make a suggestion, but the one that you pick will be unanimously accepted as the new island name.
You should think carefully about your name, as you won’t get to change it. To avoid any confusion, the name of the island will only be what you type in, there won’t be anything added to it. As such, If you type “Paradise” it will just be “Paradise”. If you want it to be called “Paradise Island” you will need to type all that into the text box.
It doesn’t matter what your island is called, as long as you stick to the game’s rules and keep it family-friendly for your visitors. So, feel free to call it after anything you like.
