Guardians, the light awaits you once more. The 2020 edition of Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes event is almost upon us, and you’ll want to know when its start and end dates are to make the most of it. The free event will see Eva Levante return to the Tower alongside a myriad of new quests and other activities.

The 2020 Solstice of Heroes event will return to Destiny 2 on Tuesday, August 11. This falls in line with when Bungie’s action RPG is updated every week, so it’s unsurprising to learn that this is when it will begin.

As for when the event will end, it will run for an entire month and finish on Tuesday, September 11. This will give you and your fellow Guardians enough time to engage in everything on offer, but what will be available to you in-game?

There will be a new quest — Eva’s “The Solstice Begins” mission — that will reward you with a free Solstice of Heroes music track if you complete it. Guardians will also be tasked with defeating the Hive, Cabal, and Fallen to potentially earn new armor pieces. Other activities include two new Triumphs, which count towards progression in your current Moments of Triumph pursuit.

Guardians looking to improve their Power level will want to collect Solstice Key Fragments to unlock Solstice Packages. These contain powerful gear and new armor upgrades, so they are worth seeking out.

Finally, Tess Eververse will be hanging out at the Tower with new Universal Ornaments, accessories, emotes, and a finisher if you want to buy something new.
