Where to find Agents in Genshin Impact

Dangerous foes.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Agents, or Fatui Pyro Agents, as a roaming boss in Genshin Impact. You can find them on the world map in Liyue, and they can spawn in various locations and will respawn daily. The best thing about Agents is that you need not need to spend any Original Resin to farm their drops.

The Agents will drop the Hunter’s Sacrificial Knife, an important material for ascending certain weapons.

You can find the Agents by opening your Journal using the options wheel, then selecting the bosses tab. Scroll down the Liyue options to the Fatui Pyro Agents and click on them. This will place a marker on your map, showing you exactly where to find them. You can then go to the marked point and fight them.

Agents can be a tricky enough fight because they can go invisible, but as long as you land your hits and abilities you should be able to burst them down before this becomes a problem. They can drop the following items

  • Hunter’s Sacrificial Knife
  • Agent’s Sacrificial Knife (Level 40+)
  • Inspectors Sacrificial Knife (Level 60+)
  • Recruit’s Insignia
  • Sergeant’s Insignia
  • Lieutenant’s Insignia
  • Traveling Doctor Set
  • Berserker Set
  • Instructor Set
  • The Exile Set

You can farm the Fatui Pyro Agents by repeatedly opening your journal and getting a new map marker, but their level will go up each time, so make sure you are powerful enough to take them out. It is worth farming them every day to stay ahead of your needs and try to get full sets of the Artifacts that they drop, as it is one of the few free sources of sets in the game.
