At a promotional event in Long Beach, a “Sony PR guy” told Average Caucasian Shark that Days Gone is aiming to become a “franchise.”

According to this rep, indeed, Bend Studio is not thinking at the game as one single exploit but as something which could get more iterations.

“Franchise. The goal is always to make a game that people love and want more of,” the rep told the website over the weekend.

Of course, it’s still very early days as Days Gone hasn’t even released yet – it’s scheduled for April 26, 2019.

Considering we’re at the end of the generation or so, there is a chance Days Gone 2 could get the PS5 treatment whenever it releases.

On top of that, it’s still something that will need to go through the process of analyzing how the critics have welcomed the game and how it performed in terms of sales.

So, very early days, but rest assured that if there is an opportunity to make it, we’ll get to play more Days Gone in the future.

In the meantime, do you know the main game is getting a DLC after the April 26 launch?
