When it comes to DLC, Sony has had a mixed approach with its first-party PlayStation 4 exclusive games.

Spider-Man has had plenty of them for a few months, but God of War, for example, didn’t have any paid additional content along the way.

Horizon: Zero Dawn had a full blown expansion and that was it, while Detroit: Become Human stopped its run as soon as the story ended.

Days Gone will represent one of those cases where the game has expansions of sorts, anyway, as revealed by Bend Studio.

“I think the main story will give that information to you. We have unannounced DLC but we cannot tell you about it yet,” community manager David Lee said.

“With the main story, it should be sufficient enough to tell you the characters’ backstories that make you care for them one way or another,” Lee noted.

So, this means that the DLC will add something to the story, but won’t necessarily complete it as the main game is narratively already complete.

Days Gone is releasing on April 26, 2019 for PS4. Did you have your first look at the open world map of the game? It’s very big.
