Take-Two Interactive is among the many publishers who are supporting Google Stadia over the coming months. During the latest meeting with investors and analysts, CEO Strauss Zelnick provided some more details about how it’s been working on the new platform.

According to Zelnick, the process of porting games over Stadia is relatively smooth. So it looks like he agrees with Ubisoft’s opinion who see it as a massive opportunity for spreading its games to more and new audiences. They have their “fingers crossed” for it to succeed.

“We are supportive of Stadia, we feel really good about that release,” said Zelnick, via Twinfinite. “We’ve always said that we want to distinguish our distribution technology with the business model, and the business model that we’re using is one that is tried and true which is downloading and sale, and streaming for sale.”

Additionally, “Google has been extremely helpful” in handling such ports. Take-Two’s CEO also wants to see how this new platform ends up working and thinks that the quality of the initial outcome determines the success of Stadia.

“Remains to be seen how the platform works,” Zelnick said. “They’re awfully talented and very very committed, so fingers crossed that it meets and exceeds consumers expectations.”

Google Stadia releases in November with a limited edition Founder’s Pack, and then the console opens up to everyone in early 2020.
