In Chapter 2 Horseshoe Overlook – American’s At Rest Walkthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, you will engage into a fist fight at a saloon to save your friend and then face a bigger enemy Tommy.
In the last mission Polite Society, Valentine Style, you visited the town of Valentine with Uncle and few women’s from your group. There were basic objectives like helping the girls and chasing the man who identified you from Backwaters. For the next mission American’s At Rest you will have to find Javier. He is in Saloon.
American’s At Rest Walkthrough
To earn Gold medal in this mission you will have to save Javier within 15 seconds and defeat Tommy before 1 minutes and 30 seconds.
Beat Down All In The Saloon
Inside you will find Javier talking to a few women and Arthur will be rude to them. Once the girls are gone you will see Bill bumped into a guy and this triggers a fight in the room. This will be a fist fight, you will have to help Bill. After a short while Tommy a giant man will enter the fight and he will start beating Javier.
Fight Tommy
Hit the attack button to break free yourself as soon as possible. To meet the gold requirements you will have to save Javier in 15 seconds and beat Tommy within 1 minute and 30 seconds. Tommy is a tough enemy so you have to attack him with a strategy. The controls you will have to remember are Square/X for dodging his attacks, press circle/B to attack and Triangle/Y to grapple. Don’t go for grapple too soon unless he is really week. It will not work. He can block your attack and counter-attack you. The fight begins outside, once you gain control wait for him to attack. Dodge away and block his punches. Once you are able to block then attack. You will need to wait for an opening to attack and bring him down fast.
Once you beat him a civilian will tell you to spare him. This ends the fight with Tommy. In the next cutscene you will see Dutch and a old friend Josiah Trelawny. He will inform you that O’Driscolls is behind Dutch and there are also some bounty hunters who hold Sean. Dutch will send Charles to gather more information. After cleaning yourself up meet Javier and the mission is completed. The next mission is Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego. To trigger this mission you will have to return to the camp and talk to Hosea.
