In Mission The First Shall be Last Walkthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, you will have to find Sean one of your gang member and save him from bounty hunters in Blackwaters.
After saving Micah in the last mission Blessed are the Meek, you have to go to Blackwaters. On the north side near a mountain cliff you will find Javier Escuella. Follow the JE symbol on the map and you will find him. Once you walk near to Javier there will be a cutscene. You will learn that Sean will be moved to federal prison. So your objective is to save him.
The First Shall be Last Walkthrough
To earn Gold medal you have to kill the Bounty Hunters quietly. Free Sean by shooting up the rope and get around 10 shots. Completing this mission without taking health item is another requirement for the Gold medal.
Find The Boat
Mount your horse to follow Javier and Josiah. You will have to locate a Boat where all think Sean is. Keep following till it is confirmed whether Sean is in the boat. You will stop at a cliff where you have to look through your binoculars you can spot Sean and the bounty hunters. Follow them to the shore and quietly walk near them. Don’t forget to take your knife. If you are able to kill two men quietly then you meet one of the gold requirements. Next follow Javier and take the bounty hunters.
Kill The Bounty Hunters
Follow all the way to the canyon and you will find more bounty hunters. Target the head for Gold Medal. Once you shoot more of them will appear. Look properly near the rocks and on the top of the cliffs. Dead Eye is the easiest way to kill multiple enemies on a far distance. You will meet Charles, if you try looting the bodies there are chances you might get attacked by re-enforcement.
Follow Javier and Charles
Javier and Charles will lead you to the camp. The bounty hunters already know you are there, so you will be attacked as you walk in. Take cover near the logs and shoot them one by one. Sean is tied upside down on a tree, shoot the rope. This one of the requirements for Gold Medal. Free him and there will be a cutscene.
The mission is over once you are done talking to Sean the mission is over. You can check the camp and bodies to loot. The next mission you can check is We Loved Once and True. To start this one return to the camp and read the letter from Mary kept on your desk.
