Complete Guide to The Scorn, Destiny 2: Forsaken's New Enemy
In Bungie’s first significant expansion to Destiny 2, Guardians are introduced to The Scorn, a new faction of enemies made up of Fallen pirates from the Prison of Elders. This arena played a major part in Destiny and is getting a second look in Forsaken as Guardians head to the Reef to explore. This guide will provide an overview of everything we know about The Scorn.
The Scorn – The Eight Barons
The Scorn are ruled by eight Fallen Barons, made infamous in the Stand of the Last Gunslinger trailer. The Barons will play a major role in Destiny 2: Forsaken and are made up of the following:
The leader of the Scorn, who he created from his experiments inside the Prison of the Elders.
The Machinist is the second-in-command of the Scorn and specializes in munitions and weapon-crafting.
This Scorn baron is obsessed with the Hive and has his own Ascendant Realm.
This Scorn baron likes to lure his enemies into traps to defeat them.
The Hangman is the Scorn’s baron in charge of executing those that defy the rule of the barons.
The Mad Bomber
Clearly, this baron is not in full control of his facilities and enjoys peppering his enemies with void bombs.
This Scorn baron is an expert marksman and scout and has several confirmed kills of Guardians and Awoken Paladins. He’s likely to blame for the destruction of Cayde-6’s ghost.
If you thought that Pike gangs are annoying, then you’ll have this Scorn baron to blame. He leads the Scorn Pike gangs with an iron fist.
Other Scorn Units
The following enemy types support the eight barons of the Scorn in their attempt to dominate the Reef and stomp out the Guardians’ presence.
The Screeb is a quadrupedal Scorn unit that explodes near Guardians, similar to Cursed Thralls.
Stalkers are a basic Dreg unit that makes up the bulk of the Scorn army.
These large Scorn units wield a flaming cauldron that they use to charge their opponents with.
Wraiths are not unlike Ravagers and enjoying charging their foes with their dual flame torches.
Raiders are the Scorn’s sniper unit armed with void rifles and sawblade launchers. Naturally, they can also teleport.
A mid-sized Scorn unit similar to Stalkers but armed with shrapnel pistols and a small shield.
These Ogre-sized beasts shoot lightning out of their hands. That sounds like fun to deal with.
The Chieftains are the Scorn’s version of a Captain that can place elemental totems with a variety of area effects.
Finally, the Scorn also feature a unique variant of the Fallen Walker that replaces the main cannon with a powerful shield generator.
That’s all the information about the makeup of the new enemy units in Destiny 2: Forsaken, the Scorn. For advice on how to best outfit your Guardian to face this new threat, visit our Destiny 2 Guide Hub.
