Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day

Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day rewards and how to get them

Break some hearts, earn some loot.

With Borderlands 3’s Broken Hearts Day event underway, you might be wondering what rewards are in store if you log on and start to play the game. While this is a more subdued event that the very fun Halloween event that Gearbox ran, there are still some nice rewards to get your hands on.

First up, you need to begin the event, and this should happen automatically after you download the update. While Maurice is once again running the event, you don’t have to visit with him this time. Remember, you can always opt-out of it if you want to focus on something else for a while. All you need to do to opt-out is go back to the title screen; then, when you pick your character, you can choose to enable or disable the event at the bottom of the menu before you load in.

If you have been playing for a while, and are not seeing hearts, make sure you have the event enable on the load-in screen.

Broken Hearts Day Rewards

To get your hands on the rewards, you will need to break hearts that will appear on enemies all around the game.

The rewards for destroying hearts include:

  • 10 – “ECHOcardiogram” Echo Skin
  • 25 – “Cosmic Romance” weapon trinket
  • 50 – Terminal Polyaimorous” Legendary Maliwan SMG
  • 75 “Heartbreaker” Vault Hunter Skin
  • 100 – “Wedding Invitation” Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle

The reward will unlock when you reach each milestone; the count shown above is not the total count for each reward. So, at 10 you will earn the Echo Skin, then 15 broken hearts later, you will earn the weapon trinket, and so on.
