The Destiny 2 community rose up to smite the Hive on Mars. Those who succeed in all steps of the Community Challenge should be getting their Buried City Emblem today.
Destiny 2‘s The Mars Community Challenge tasked Guardians with taking on the threat of the Hive. The challenge sent thousands of Guardians to Mars in the hope of earning the Buried City Emblem.
Buried City Emblem Challenges
To finish the event, the community had to hit the following targets:
- Defeat 175,000 Wave 7 Escalation Protocol Bosses
- Defeat 300 million Hive on Mars
- Defeat Nokris in a Nightfall 150,000 times
- Defeat Xol in a Nightfall 100,000 times
- Use 300,000 Override Frequencies
To earn the Buried City Emblem, you needed to complete at least one Nightfall on Mars, and the community needed to achieve the above targets. The results are in today, and the community did very well indeed.
Final Totals:
- Overrides: 282%
- Hive Kills: 164%
- EP Boss Kills: 219%
- Xol Kills: 180%
- Nokris Kills: 158%
Where To Get Your Buried City Emblem
As long as you complete the Nightfall, the Buried City Emblem should arrive today. To find it, follow the below steps:
- Open Collections
- Flair
- Events
- Check the right-hand column under the Holiday Treat Emblem
And that’s it! If it isn’t there, I would advise patience; I have no idea if this type of inventory update can be done in one huge lump, or if it rolls out in blocks over the day.
