As we are firmly in the spookiest month of the year, people are wondering about this year’s Fortnitemares event. As usual, Epic will be unleashing all manner of frightful things into Fortnite for us to enjoy. We expect free loot, events, and some strange happenings. There will almost certainly be some map changes too, the most exciting part of any Fortnite event.
Fortnitemares 2020 start date and end date
Fortnitemares will run from October 21 (after the servers come back up) until November 3.
What is happening this year?
Midas is back. The man with the golden touch has taken control of the Agency again. During Fortnitemares, if you get killed you will come back as a shadow to try and take out other players.
New Items
There will be all sorts of new items to find on the island. The Pumpkin Rocket Launcher, Fiend Hunter Crossbow, Witch Broom, and a new invention by Midas that we don’t have any details of at the moment. There is even lots of candy to eat that will have different affects.
New Rewards
Over the course of Fortnitemares, you can complete new Challenges to unlock special rewards, including Midas’ Shadow Wrap, the Smash O’-Lantern Pickaxe, Bobo Back Bling, and more! Be seasonally-appropriate or stay scary year-round.
The Wrath’s Wrath Wrap
Over the course of Fortnitemares, Fortnite Creative will feature four Fortnitemares-inspired featured islands. Buried in each featured island, you’ll be able to discover digits of a mysterious code. Explore these haunted islands and combine 20 total digits to unearth the Wrath’s Wrath Wrap.
The first island will be available on October 21. Return to Fortnite Creative each day through October 24 to check out a new featured island and find the new digits. After you find all the digits, enter the completed code at fortnite.com/redeem to add the Wrath’s Wrath Wrap to your Locker! (The redemption code will expire on October 27 at 10:00 AM ET.)
