The London Tour has begun in Mario Kart Tour, which means new challenges have arrived. You can complete these challenges to earn more Grand Stars and make your way further into the Tour. One of the challenges this week is to break 10 Barrels. You don’t need to it in a single race, and you have two weeks until this set of challenges will change, giving you plenty of time to do it.

To break 10 barrels, you can head for the very first race in the first cup, the Daisy Cup. The London Loop track has a set of four barrels at about the halfway mark. Two of them are on the right side of the road, and then two more will be on the left side. Breaking barrels is very easy, you can choose to either hit them with an item like a shell or drive into them.

If you don’t care about winning the race, driving into them is the best option. If you want to use this method and still win the race, race at a lower CC level, like 50 or 100, as the AI drivers are unlikely to overtake you, even if you slow yourself down breaking the barrels.

The main thing to be careful of when driving into a barrel is that you hit them right in the center. Striking them to either the left or right side of the centerline will cause you to bounce off them. Smacking them right in the center will cause them to break.

There are a total of eight barrels in the race, and so it will take you two races to hit the 10 barrel mark, even if you smash all the barrels in the first race. Once again, this is fine, as the number of barrels broken is cumulative across all your races, and does not need to be done in a single race.
