Ahti, Control’s funny-yet-strange janitor, doesn’t appear in AWE, but his presence is still felt. Just like the main game, Ahti has left you three chores to conduct as you explore the Investigations Sector. You have to clear some Mold, burn away the Darkness, and nourish some plants as you traverse this region.
The Nourish the Plants quest is a simple one to complete. All you have to do is shine light on the plants — hidden throughout the Investigations Sector — to bring them back to life. You can use the lights in this sector to shine light on them. Just pick them up using your Launch ability and carry them with you.
There are three regions of the Investigations Sector you need to find the plants, and each one has three plants to shine light on.
AWE Loading Bay
The first plant can be found in the first room that you enter. Head down the steps, after walking through the double doors, and immediately turn right. The plant is there with a light nearby to shine on it.
Plant number two is located near this room. Go back up the stairs that you just walked down, and head right if you are facing the double doors. Walk out onto the platform, and the plant is nestled between two metal shelves. Use the same light as before.
The final plant is found at the back of the room. It’s hidden in an area with no light, so it is hard to spot. If you still have the light with you, you should see it between some crates and rolled-up sheets.
Operations Corridor
Fast travel to the Operations Corridor Control Point. From here, grab the light to your right. Walk through the double doors, and immediately turn to your right and look behind you for the plant.
Next, head down the small path towards the signposts. Look left from there for the plant. The final plant is in the dead-end area on the left path from the signposts. Drop down to find it.
Abandoned Offices
You can find the first plant is the small room to the left of the first set of double doors that you burn the darkness away from. Head into the room with the light that you burned that darkness away. As you walk through the door, the plant is to your left.
The next plant is near the multiplying objects as you enter this area. Grab a light and head to the far corner where there is a painting on the floor and a red telephone on the wall. The plant is between them.
The last one is in a hidden location. Look down the hallway with the rooms on either side. Head left past the tubes and walk into the room ahead of you. There’s a light on top of a filing cabinet. Bust through the gray wall to your right to reveal the hidden area. The plant is right in front of you.
