Genshin Impact's inclusion in Sony's August State of Play presentation means that it's time to gear up for its launch. The miHoYo-developed title is coming to PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and up until now, we only knew that it was coming sometime in 2020. The August State of Play, though, has given us a more precise launch date for Genshin Impact. It isn't an officially dated one yet, tweaks and bug fixes are ongoing following its beta test. If you want to know more about our thoughts on Genshin Impact, you can read our impressions piece. We digress, however, as we know you're here for the Genshin Impact release date reveal. Well, it will be launching worldwide this Fall. We did say there wasn't an official date for Genshin Impact yet, but it will be with us sometime between September and November. Zhenzhong, Studio Technical Director at miHoYo, confirmed as much in a PlayStation Blog post following the State of Play event. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?vjEp9yyhwZFE The Covid-19 pandemic, as you will have guessed, has impacted plenty of developers. Most, if not all, studios are working remotely on their upcoming titles, and miHoYo is no different. Game development is tough at the best of times, and launch dates will have been affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As such, it wouldn't be in miHoYo's best interests to lock in a date that they would have to move down the line. We imagine that September will come too soon for an official release, but an October or November launch, development-pending, will make it worth the wait for this action RPG.
