How to find the Treasurer in Warframe

Hunt them down.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

With the Deadlock Protocol update, a new enemy called the Treasurer has become one of the most hunted beings in Warframe. Treasurers will carry an item called a Granum Crown, which is an essential resource for players who wish to get their hands on the new Protea Warframe, or new weapons like the Stropha.

The Treasurer will only spawn on the Corpus Ship tileset, the same tileset that was completely reworked for the Deadlock Protocol update. They can spawn randomly at any point in the mission, although the normally seem to spawn only after the mission’s objective is complete, but before extraction. If you are near extraction and one has not spawned yet, we have found that waiting for a minute or two before doing so can often cause one to spawn.

While the Treasurer will only spawn on the Corpus Ship tileset, he will not always be carrying the same item, as there are three different types of Granum Crown in the game.

The best spots to hunt down the Treasurers for the different types of Granum Crowns are as follows:

  • Fossa (Venus) – Granum Crown
  • Trition (Neptune) – Exemplar Crown
  • Oceanum (Pluto) – Zenith Crown

For more information on the Granum Crowns, and what they do, be sure to read the linked guide above. Only one Treasurer will spawn per mission, so you can happily extract once you kill them and grab the Granum Crown. Treasurers have pretty thick shields, so newer players may struggle a little to strip it away, but this won’t be an issue for Veteran players.

The Treasurer can also go invisible, but damage and status ticks will still be clear on the screen, so continuing to do damage will be easy for most players.
