While Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is not the Star War crossover that many people thought it would be, you can still get your hands on the Mandalorian skin. You can also get Mando’s trusty friend and partner in mischief Baby Yoda, referred to as The Child in both the game and the Disney+ series.
Mando is the first skin you will get if you buy the Battle Pass, and there will be lots of quests to upgrade his armor to be full Beskar Steel. To get Baby Yoda will actually take a lot more work. He is a Battle Pass item, effectively a Back Bling for the Mandolorian skin, and you will not unlock him until you hit Level 100. This is the final official tier of rewards for Battle Pass holder, although there could be something hidden away beyond that point, just like last season.
To get the Battle Pass you can buy it in-game for 950 V-Bucks, or as part of your Fortnite Crew subscription is you wish to avail of that service. After that, you will need to level up the Battle Pass. This is done by completing challenges in the game, eliminating opponents, searching chests, and generally exploring the map.
There are dozens and dozens of challenges this season, as it all takes a very different format to previous seasons. You can also complete Bounties in the game to earn additional experience. There will be range of challenges available at different rarities, worth different amounts of XP. As you finsh them, you will then get new ones. It is possible to earn a lot of XP in one day now.
