How to Get Novice Swordsman in Grand Blue

All information on how to get Novice Swordsman in Grand Blue.

Novice Swordsman is one of the easiest Fighting Styles to unlock in Grand Blue, and by far the best one you can use for the early game. Also, you don’t even need to complete a quest or travel to another island. Here is our quick guide on how to get Novice Swordsman in Grand Blue.

Where to Find Shiro in Grand Blue

Shiro is the Novice Swordsman trainer, and you can find him near the Anchor Town Pond. An easy way to reach him is to start at the Captain’s Brat enemy spawn, then look for Penniless Pete nearby. Follow the road to the left of Penniless Pete and behind the wall.

Once you’ve gone past the wall, you’ll reach the pond area. Shiro can be found on the opposite side of the area from the pond and will have the Fighting Style trainer quest marker above him.

How to Unlock Novice Swordsman in Grand Blue

Once you’ve found Shiro, talk to him and select the option to learn the Novice Swordsman Fighting Style. You’ll need 250 Gold to purchase the style. After paying Shiro, Novice Swordsman will be added to your unlocked Fighting Styles.

No quest or additional requirement is currently needed to unlock the base Fighting Style. However, you’ll need to complete all of Shiro’s quests to unlock the Novice Swordsman moves and passives. Also, to use the Novice Swordsman Fighting Style, you’ll need to have a Sword, Katana, or a Dagger equipped (you can buy weapons at the weapon merchants inside towns).

How to Equip Novice Swordsman

After unlocking the style, it will be automatically equipped and replace your previous Fighting Style. To switch to another one, you’ll need to visit the Wardrobe at the Anchor Town Plaza. The Wardrobe is on the 2nd floor of the building next to the Nessa NPC.
