The first thing you can do after defeating the first boss is go to the shortcut gate you unlocked and keep walking to the left after you reach the stairs. Here you will see some cages with dogs in them. From this location you can go down in the sewers.

Another option is to take the shortcut from the two wolves, on this way you will find a new boss Priest Gascoigne who is a religious Priest and will help you against Lycanthrope in the early game, turns into your worst enemy later.

If you do not want to face the two wolves you can take the first right down and into a house and navigate to the sewer like area. You are looking for a bridge which has huge mob on one end.

If you do not want to fight for a while, explore the area and look for messenger’s lanterns through which you can visit the hunters dreams, since you will have around four insights by now, talk to the doll and try to level up.
