How to spread my voice and catch Spiritomb in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra

What does it mean?

For those who enjoy an engaging mystery in Pokémon with a vague idea of what to do, capturing Spiritomb in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra expansion is a grand adventure. It may take a little bit of time to capture this Pokémon, but adding another to your collection is always worth it.

First off, you have to be connected to Nintendo’s Online service to capture Spiritomb. You cannot do it offline.

You first need to visit a specific location in the Crown Tundra region, namely the southern portion in the Dyna Tree Hill area. Head down there, and you want to locate a tombstone that’s right in the middle of that small alcove to the side of the entrance to the Lakeside Cave. You should find a tombstone all the way at the end. Approach it, and the tombstone reads, “Spread my Voice.”

What the tombstone is asking you to do is for you to hop online and speak to 50 players in Pokémon Sword and Shield. It only counts players, not NPCs. To talk to another player, all you have to do is approach your avatar and click the A button on your Nintendo Switch. A brief icon will pop up, and you’ll receive an item from that character.

You need to do this 50 times, and it can take you quite a bit of time to explore all of Crown Tundra and speak to these players. After you speak to all 50 people, Spiritomb will be waiting for you back at the gravestone you initially started at. If you spoke to everyone you needed to talk to, you should see it hovering there.
