How to survive longer on Shi No Numa in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies

Survive the swamp of death.

Shi No Numa is Call of Duty: Vanguard’s first round-based Zombies map. This return to the classic location introduced in World at War won’t necessarily change your mind about Vanguard Zombies, but it is at least the best map in the game yet. Here are some tips to help you survive later into the game.

Use a shotgun

Our personal favorite weapons to use on Shi No Numa are the game’s shotguns. We recommend either the Combat Shotgun or Einhorn Revolving Shotgun. Once you Pack-a-Punch either, you will be putting out tons of damage and the only threat you need to worry about is Savalla.

Never stop moving

Shi No Numa is not a very wide open map. Outside of the Dig Site, there is not really anywhere you can run freely without running into water which will slow you down. That being said, there also really isn’t anywhere you can hunker down. With that in mind, you always want to be moving. Going into one of the huts and staying there leads to a lot more potential of you being overrun unless you use traps cleverly. When going through water, be sure to watch out for enemies spawning below you.

Train Zombies in Dig Site

If you are looking to hold down an area, the Dig Site is easily the best location. It is a very wide open space that you can easily run around without worrying about zombies backing you into a corner. It’s wide enough we would say two people could probably maintain the area at one time without interfering with each other.

Limit your use of the Wunderwaffe DG-2

While the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is a classic wonder weapon in Zombies, we don’t love its use here. The chaining electric attack is useful for taking down multiple enemies, buy with how the spawns are set on this map, you will usually see zombies pretty spread out. If you have a Sturmkrieger, the Wunderwaffe is the best way to take it down quickly, but it’s low ammo pool and lengthy reload animation can quickly get you killed.
