How to unlock N. Verted Mode in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time

Crash Bandicoot 4

To add to the replayability of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, developers Toys For Bob have introduced N. Verted Mode. This will take every level in the game and flip it, allowing you to run a mirrored version that also has other tweaks and changes made to it, some of which are pretty wild.

To unlock the mode, you will need to complete the Trouble Brewing level. This is a boss level, and the sixteenth level in the game. Once it’s done, the N. Verted mode will be available to play.

It is not just the layout of the levels that can change, but also the physics, aesthetics, and everything else. The level might be almost invisible, and you need to splatter paint everywhere to get through it, or the gameplay speed might speed up or slow down. You can even find yourself underwater, or taking part in an old movie.

N. Verted Mode dramatically increases the number of levels in the game. All 43 normal levels get an N. Verted version so there will be lots to do, especially for people who like to experience everything a game has to offer.

You will be able to go back and play the N. Verted levels of early missions as soon as you unlock the mode, but you won’t be able to play any level in the N. Verted style until you have completed it normally.
