In Country Pursuits Walkthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, Dutch and Arthur will play a short mission of saving a man Jules from giant Alligator. In return, his business partner Thomas will help Dutch to enter Bronte’s mansion.
In the last mission Urban Pleasures – Dutch was tipped off having a high amount of cash at the Trolley Station and according to his plan, the money is more than enough to leave the country to a new region and start a new life. Arthur and Lenny joined the party but it turned out to be a setup. After saving themselves from the army of cops the gang returns to the camp. For the next main mission, Country Pursuits talk to Dutch at the camp. He will tell you about attacking Bronte’s mansion because he set him up for the Trolley heist.

For the Gold Medal you will have to return Jules to the skiff within 1 minute 40 seconds and shoot Bullgator 4 times.
Follow Dutch To Meet Thomas | Country Pursuits
To start the mission go and talk to Dutch. He is standing at the balcony and talking to Hosea. Dutch is talking about Angelo Bronte who tipped him about the Trolley Station but that turned out to be a setup. Dutch will convince Arthur about the last job of robbing a bank and getting enough money to get out of this country where they are hunted down by the cops. After the cutscene follows Dutch, who will tell you about a man Thomas who knows a lot about waters that can help the gang to attack Bronte’s mansion. After a short ride, both of you will reach Thomas and he will agree to help but he will ask you to find his missing business partner Jules.
Search The Traps | Country Pursuits
Dutch will explain the plan to Thomas, later he will invite you to check the traps and look for his business partner Jules. He will warn you about the Gators in the region, so stay near to Thomas. Keep following him and stay on the high grounds. The first trap will have some trapped crayfish. Follow Thomas in the water and he will tell you to search the trap on the right. Continue following Thomas, and stay right behind him. Thomas will tell you to stay still as he spots a gator. The second trap is on a small island. After helping Thomas to pull out a trap stuck in the mud, continue following him and you will spot another gator. Stay still for a while and continue following Thomas.
Find Jules | Country Pursuits
You will have to locate Jules, follow the yellow sign on the mini-map. You will see a huge yellow patch, this is the area you have to investigate. Enter the yellow region and walk toward the lamp on the tree. Callout for Jules and you will hear his voice. Jules is standing on the top of a tree and he will warn about a monster. He will point you towards the boat. Release the skiff stuck in a tree, in the cutscene you will see all four will climb up. Row the boat towards the yellow icon.
Save Jules | Country Pursuits
The skiff will stop, Jules will go down to pull it out. But he will be attacked by the large gator. You will have to jump down and save him. Walk towards the yellow icon, you will see Jules struggling to stay on top, but he will disappear. Wait for a while and you will hear his voice, go towards the yellow circle and carry him back to the boat. Jules is injured, you have to walk towards the skiff as soon as possible.
Shoot The Giant Alligator | Country Pursuits
Back on the boat, shoot the gator. Shoot the red mark, you will see that in the mini-map. Apply bandage on Jules leg and apply pressure to stop the blood. After helping him the alligator will pop out, shoot the monster.
Everyone will be able to reach the docks safely, Thomas will thank Dutch for helping him. This is the end of the mission. You will have to return to Thomas within 1 min and 40 seconds for the Gold Medal and to trigger the next main mission – Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten.
