In Icarus and Friends Walkthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur and Mrs. Adler aim to locate John’s location in the prison, so that they can plan out to free him.
In the last chapter A Fork in the Road while on this way to meet Mrs. Alder, Arthur felled due to a serious illness, and the Doctor told him that he is suffering from Tuberculosis. In the next main mission Icarus and Friends, Arthur and Sadie will try to find John who is locked in a prison. After getting the location Arthur has to save Mrs. Adler from O’Driscolls.
Icarus and Friends Walkthrough
To earn Gold Medal in this mission you will have to keep the balloon at the correct altitude till you complete your journey. You will have to get 5 headshots and finish everything with 70% accuracy without taking any health items.
Hot Air Balloon | Icarus and Friends
To start the mission you will have to meet Sadie at Doyle’s Tavern. Arthur and Sadie will discuss on rescuing John Marston. After the cutscene follow Sadie and she will tell you about her plan of first finding up John in the prison by using a hot air balloon. Just follow her on the horse and she will take you towards the balloon. As you reach near the balloon there will be a cutscene, you will meet Bullard who will be your pilot.
Ascend The Balloon To Desired Altitude | Icarus and Friends
Press the key flashing on the screen (RT) to control the balloon altitude. For Gold you will need to maintain the balloon altitude, just check the bar on the bottom right that will turn yellow. You will be flying above the cloud, just maintain the altitude by pressing the key. At this altitude, you will be able to maintain the speed due to winds, once you reach the prison use the binoculars to locater john.
Locate John | Icarus and Friends
Look on the east side and you will spot John, look for a group of 5 prisoners surrounded by two guards. While zooming in, one of the guards will spot you and start shooting. Press RT once again to ascend to the desired height.
Save Sadie | Icarus and Friends
Return back to the land, Mr. Bullard will see Sadie is being chased by O’Driscolls. Mr. Bullard will take the balloon near, shoot the pursuers. For the Gold Medal you will need 5 headshots and you will need to complete this objective with 70% accuracy. In the fight, Mr. Bullard will get shot and fall off the balloon. Once Mr. Bullard is gone, ascend the balloon higher, cross the bridge and then keep it low so that Sadie can jump and climb on it. Hit A to lift her up, the balloon will crash on the side of the river, but both will be safe.
O’Drsicolls will continue to appear from the other side of the hill. Shoot the remaining ones, for Gold requirement you will have to complete the mission without taking a health item. So play defensive, take cover behind a rock and shoot. After killing the O’Driscolls coming from the riverside, turn around and kill the one coming from the trees. It is necessary that at all cost you must avoid getting yourself surrounded, clear one side and then go after the other one.
After killing a lot of O’Driscolls, there will be a cutscene where Arthur will learn from Sadie that the government has caught Colm and he will be hanged soon. This is where the chapter ends.
