What are Red Access Cards in Call of Duty: Warzone?

Code red.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Infinity Ward appears to be up to something in Call of Duty: Warzone, as a new item has been stealthily added to the game. Red Access Cards have begun to appear while people are looting and searching for guns, leading to a lot of speculation about what they are. If someone else finds one, and you kill them, you can also loot it from their body, implying that this is definitely something that will have a benefit for players in the game.

At the moment, nobody knows what the Red Access Card is for, and Infinity Ward is staying tight-lipped with any information. Many players are working off the theory that the cards are somehow connected to the locked bunkers that can be found in different areas of the map, and this might be the safe bet.

Infinity Ward has also hinted at potentially adding Fortnite style events to the game. In an interview with Venture Beat, Warzone narrative director Taylor Verdansk talked about his desire to bring interesting activities to the game and mentioned that they were in the planning stages.

Could the Red Access Cards be some kind of early introduction to a new event? It seems likely that there is some clue of secret on the map right now, but people haven’t found it yet. For now, we are still trying to track down more information, just like everyone else who plays the game, but we will update this article with anything that we manage to learn about the Red Access Cards.
