Original article: Warframe’s Heart of Deimos expansion will arrive in the game later today. If you are wondering exactly what time it will release, then the bad news is that there is no set time at the moment, as is always the case with Warframe. The good news is that the game will be arriving on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at the same time today. Unfortunately for NinTennos out there, it won’t launch on the Nintendo Switch until later this week.
So, why is the fact that the new expansion is arriving on PC, PS4, and Xbox One at the same time good news? PC players will be well aware that part of the fun of any new content day is watching Steve Sinclair, the director of Warframe, stream on Twitch in the run-up to release. Sinclair normally provides a running commentary on how things are going as the team puts the final touches on the build that is about to go live.
This makes knowing exactly when it will release quite tricky, but it shouldn’t be an issue this time. The release build will already have been completed, we assume, as it will have needed to go through certification on consoles. As such, we will hopefully see the new content become available sometime between 10 AM PT and 11 AM PT, which is when Warframe updates usually arrive on consoles.
The best thing to do is keep an eye on the Warframe Twitter account which will announce when the update becomes available to download. If you are in-game, you will get a warning about the impending update from Red Text, the poor creature who wanders the in-game chat when updates are close.
Heart of Deimos will introduce a new open-world in the form of the hidden moon Deimos, which has been overrun by a new type of Infested threat. It will also include the new Xaku Warframe designed by the community, along with a new player experience, which will hopefully make the early portions of the game more accessible to neophyte Tenno. Even more exciting is the introduction of the Helminth System, which will allow us to infuse new abilities into our Warframes.
