During the last few days, a rumor’s been out that Anthem could be facing yet another delay ahead of its official launch on February 22, 2019.

The rumor was spread by RuthenicCookie, the same Reddit user who detailed Sony’s absence at E3 2019 a few days before the news got official.

RuthenicCookie said that the game was tailored for next-gen platforms, and that the Xbox One and PS4 versions looked a mess at the moment.

Anthem Delay Rumors Debunked

Anyway, things are not apparently like he explained, as BioWare got public on the matter and debunked the rumor.

Executive producer Mark Darrah has indeed talked to the community on Twitter, sharing that “our release date is February 22, 2019. Same as always.”

The Canadian developer has already showcased the title in two different livestreams, which revealed that it actually exists even though it’ll still take some time for it to drop.

So, the only thing that matters to us all for now is that the game is really coming on February 22, when it’ll have some good company with Metro Exodus.
