Electronic Arts revealed that Apex Legends has managed to achieve the whopping amount of 8 to 10 million weekly players on all the platforms, around the world. Despite reports of a decline, Respawn’s take on the battle royale seems to do rather well.

Of course, this figure is not the same launch numbers, when Apex Legends even reached 50 million monthly players. Considering that launches always work like that and that EA paid many influencers to spread the word back then, it looks the game is continuing strong.

We can’t compare it to other battle royale games, as Fortnite and PlayUnknown’s Battlegrounds do not share their monthly numbers. But this figure is something that is convincing EA to push on with the title.

The team at Respawn is currently working on content for Season 2, which launched in early July. But as you might have guessed the studio is already looking at the future and, per EA’s CEO Andrew House, that the Season 3 is being worked on by the team.

Interestingly, it looks like the publisher isn’t worried about Respawn’s claims about crunch and all the work required to keep it up with the pace of Fortnite.

“We have a large team in DICE Los Angeles that can help with Apex if Respawn wants that,” said Blake Jorgensen, EA”s chief financial and operating office, via GamesBeat.

Hopefully, we’ll see the game getting bigger and bigger over the year. Following the game’s launch in Feb., there’s been no significant refreshing new content, unlike Epic Games’ Fortnite.
