Over the course of the weekend, Microsoft has announced that Crackdown 2 has been introduced in the backwards compatibility program for Xbox One.
On top of that, the game has been made free to play on the current-gen console, so you can have it right now without any additional charge.
Crackdown 2 is the follow up to the original and beloved Crackdown, and you might remember that it hasn’t been well received back in the days on Xbox 360.
Anyway, it’s worth noting that the original Crackdown is free to play, too, so you can have all the series on your Xbox One and have some over the top platforming and shooting fun.
As for Crackdown 3, you can easily have it on your console thanks to Xbox Game Pass, the subscription service by Microsoft.
While it’s not the best action adventure à la God of War out there, it’s easy and quick fun, with a nice art direction and fun platforming mechanics.
So here you have it, the full Crackdown picture, in case you’re interested in recovering one of the most underrated franchises out there. Are you playing some of it?
