After last year’s N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot could be back for yet another nostalgia re-release with the remake of Crash Team Racing.
The Mario Kart-like racing has been indeed in the middle of a teasing operation by Activision, which has reportedly shipped fur dices to several influencers in North America (PlayStation Access host in primis).
After those dices popped up on the Internet, Eurogamer did a bit of research and found out that the remake is actually in the making.
Based on that research, we find out the reveal is set to have place this week, coherently with The Game Awards teaser included in the package with the dices.
While the news isn’t exactly a surprise, considering the popularity of the game and the fact that Activision is surfing the nostalgia momentum, we didn’t expect a reveal to happen so soon.
The publisher has in fact just launched the Spyro trilogy on PS4 and Xbox One, with more platforms likely coming soon, so it didn’t look like it was ready to turn the page so soon.
A speculation by PlayStation LifeStyle claims that the release could happen as soon as June 21, 2019, but that hasn’t been validated by other sources.
So….uh….these just arrived at my house.
Any ideas? ?? pic.twitter.com/x0MRYihWvg
