In an closed event for The World Ends With You launch, Tetsuya Nomura offered a comment about what will be next after Final Fantasy VII Remake.
First of all, it’s good to mention that he’s still busy working on Kingdom Hearts III, and that after that there will be FF7 to work on.
Anyway, someone’s already looking after that, and a fan said he wanted to play Crisis Core again on home platforms.
“Not everyone may know this, but I’m remaking Final Fantasy VII… (laughs). Right now I’m concentrating on Kingdom Hearts III, but when that’s finished, VII will be where I head next,” Nomura surprisingly said.
“I’m thinking about ideas regarding the remake’s release—I even spoke to producer Kitase about it today. All of us old-timers are considering various developments in regards to what accompanies the remake.
Like if we can manage to do something about the Compilation [of Final Fantasy VII] titles too. But for the time being, please wait for VII‘s turn to come.”
So, in case you’re really eager to play some Crisis Core – the prequel to Final Fantasy VII – you might hold on until a remake gets announced for that too.
