ResetEra users have discovered a new screenshot grabbed from Final Fantasy VII Remake, although not officially released by Square Enix and not adding any particular news to what we already know.
Development leader Naoki Hamaguchi has indeed posted on his Twitter profile a new photo from his personal computer, where he is apparently working on a new portion of the game to be released anytime soon.
Even though the pic doesn’t come with a pretty high resolution, fans have reconstructed that the item/character on screen is an Air Buster, so what we’re seeing is probably from the early part of the story.
Interestingly, there’s a PlayStation 4 controller, which means that the portion of the game portrayed on the screen is already playable with a retail DualShock 4. FFVII Remake is being offered as a PS4 title first, with other platforms not revealed yet.
We’ll see whether this year’s E3 marks a good occasion for the game to return to show something of itself at the public of video gamers and, considering Square Enix is going to hold a press conference of its own, there’s a chance it is.
