343 Industries has used to bringing new games to the Halo: The Master Chief Collection from time to time.
With the release of the MCC on PC, for example, they’re introducing Halo Reach to the lot, and in the past they added Halo 3: ODST.
So, asking for more titles to join the compilation is not a stupid question at all, even it doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen again moving on.
The only game (among the mainline shooters) missing from the MCC at this stage is Halo 5: Guardians, and it’s worth asking 343 whether they were planning on making it a part of the compilation.
Well, from the looks of it, that’s not going to happen anytime soon.
In a Reddit AMA, community director Brian Jarrard has said that the team is focused on introducing Reach and building a good port of the collection for PC, and not anything else.
“Our focus is bringing MCC and Reach to PC, there are no current plans to bring over Halo 5,” Jarrard told the fans.
Looking at what has happened over the last few years, we wouldn’t rule out the possibility, perhaps in the future when Halo Infinite has properly shipped and there will be bigger requests for that to happen.
In the meantime, have you given a look at the details of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection release for the PC platform?
