Kojima Congrats del Toro For The Academy Awards, He Sends A Selfie With MGS Movie Director

Del Toro took a lot of awards at Oscar 2018, and Hideo Kojima was very happy for him. Via Twitter, Kojima congratulated Del Toro on his win at Oscar 2018. In return, Del Toro sends a selfie of himself with Metal Gear Solid movie director.

Guillermo del Toro has just won four Academy Awards with “The Shape of Water”, a massively successful fantasy tale of equality, friendship and love, and his friend Hideo Kojima offered his congratulations on Twitter.

From his Japanese Twitter account, Kojima said “congrats my friend!!!” with few emoticons and a picture of the character del Toro will be playing in Death Stranding will all the Academy Awards the real one just won.

As a response, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the Metal Gear Solid Movie Director who was at the Kodak Theater for the ceremony, sent him a selfie with Guillermo del Toro saying that he “took this photo specifically for you”.

Then he used all hashtags from Kojima’s video games such as Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding (#MetalGearSolid #DeathStranding #nanomachines #Philosophers #LaLiLuLeLo). Of course, the Academy Award was part of the photo together with the two of them smiling an awesome lot.

“The Shape of Water” was awarded the best motion picture of the year, the achievement in directing, the achievement in music written for motion picture, the achievement in production design Academy Awards. Congratulations!
