Microsoft has confirmed that Crackdown 3 won’t be released, as rumored during the last few hours, in time for 2018. The game was originally planned for a Spring 2018 launch, while it’s now slated for 2019.
With a note issued to Windows Central, the platform owner and publisher has confirmed that the game won’t be released until February 2019, which is curiously enough the same month of PS4 exclusive Days Gone.
“Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of “Crackdown 3” has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, “Crackdown 3″ will be launching in Feb 2019,” the note says.
“We look forward to sharing more on “Crackdown 3″ this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing,” it adds, pointing at something big for the game to come at the E3 press conference, which is now just around the corner.
In that occasion we’ll see whether it’s true or not that the game has made relevant improvements over the years in comparison with the original, and a bit disappointing, showcase.
