Anyway, Microsoft doesn’t feel like it has done some kind of disservice to the users, since the holiday season is already very crowded and there wasn’t a real need to rush things up just to drop it this year. At least, that’s according to marketing boss Aaron Greenberg.

“We’re going to get [Forza Horizon 4] out early [October 2] and before the blast radius. We didn’t need Crackdown or any of our titles in this holiday window. We’re planning to launch that in February, and then after that we will launch Ori and the Will of the Wisps,” he told GamesIndustry International.

“We like to have a steady cadence of content throughout the year. But there is more than enough content this holiday. That’s why we’re working with so many third-party partners to showcase their games and help drive our platform during that window,” Greenberg added.

“I can’t think of a holiday that had more AAA games in such a tight time period.”

Well, considering how many games are dropping in the middle of the Q4, like Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefield V, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Darksiders 3 and more, he doesn’t look to be too wrong.

What people feels wrong is the fact that there’s not a great amount of exclusive content coming to Xbox One and Windows 10, even though Forza Horizon 4 is being pushed as the best in the series yet and it’s releasing in just one month after the release of PS4’s Spider-Man.
