Keith Ranger Dolliver has indeed been appointed to the board of directors for Playground Games. He is the VP & Deputy General Counsel of Business and Corporate Development at Microsoft.

Microsoft To Acquire Playground Games

The news is quite important because, from what it seems, Keith Ranger Dolliver is the man who’s in charge to smoothen acquisitions in the gaming business for Microsoft. He was appointed to the board of directors of Rare and Lionhead in the past, too, and even LinkedIn more recently.

Playground Games is the studio which is partnering with Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios for the Forza Horizon series, that’s rumored to be making a return at this year’s E3 for a fourth chapter.

On top of that, during the last few years, the team has opened new offices at Leamington, in the United Kingdom, in order to work on a triple-A open world game which is rumored to be a reboot of the Fable franchise.

An acquisition from Microsoft would almost certainly mean that they actually working on a first-party intellectual property for the platform owner, something we really look forward to seeing show up at E3 2018.
