Atlus has shared a brand new trailer for Persona 5: The Royal, on top of revealing more details about the new content that is being worked on for this second release of the game.

The title will be launching on October 31, 2019, in Japan, and a Western localization – although lacking a proper release date, of course – is expected to drop sometime in 2020.

The Royal has also received a brand new trailer, that gives us a clearer idea about what’s going to happen in this version.

This is called an expanded re-release of the much acclaimed JRPG from 2016, with improved graphics built exclusively for PS4 this time around (PS3 has been ditched) and support for PS4 Pro.

The game is getting new opening, ending and battle songs, and has added a popular spot “Kichijoji” that represents Tokyo.

It’s also receiving a brand new main character, as it was already hinted at by the original teaser trailer, whose name is Kasumi Yoshizawa.

As fans of the original game, we really look forward to the re-release with Persona 5: The Royal, and will discuss more details in the future as soon as they’re shared.

It’s worth noting that Persona 5 S is also rumored to be coming to the Nintendo Switch later over the year, and should be a port of the original without the extended content.
