As you might remember, Bluehole and PUBG Corp. have always stated that they were aiming for a multi-platform release and rumors have been around for a quite a long time that they were already working on a PS4 version.

Now, the fact itself the brand new PlayStation 4 version has popped up on the Korean Ratings Board doesn’t necessarily mean that the game is coming right away on Sony’s console – it could be a mistake of sorts or it could take a long time before we get an announcement.

Anyway, it’s worth noting that Microsoft has always talked about the game as a “console launch exclusive,” so the wording has always let you know that someday, sooner or later, other consoles would’ve joined the battle royale.

The timing itself doesn’t look too bad. Early September, the Xbox One edition has reached the 1.0 release, meaning that – outside of regular updates and more content to come in the future – the developer believes the game is feature-complete.

The same milestone had already been achieved on PC, where the title looks to be in a better shape in comparison, for example, with Xbox One X where the dev team had to push a downgrade to preserve performances.

So, is it really happening? Probably, although we don’t know if it’ll be on PS4 before the end of the year. We’ll update you as soon as possible whenever the news gets official.
