MLB Games is ready to play ball once more with its annual R.B.I. Baseball franchise. The publisher has announced that it’s returning with R.B.I. Baseball 20, set to release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in March 2020. The game will get both a physical and digital release.

In the debut trailer posted below, the publisher revealed that Milwaukee Brewers superstar Christian Yelich will appear on the cover. He’s a proper fit, considering his performance with the team over the past couple of seasons.

With the game, MLB Games will add “an ever-increasing array of updates, features and enhancements.” At its core, however, it’ll remain a “uniquely fast-paced baseball experience with wholly retooled hitting and pitching mechanics, along with a host of improvements covering a broad spectrum of visual and gameplay categories.”

Previously released entries in the series have seen some criticism from long-time fans, but MLB Games is shooting for a strong turn-around with this release. The budget price should help, as R.B.I. Baseball 20 will sell for $29.99 on consoles. It will also get a mobile release on smartphone and tablet devices for a lower price point of $6.99.

The trailer notably doesn’t feature any gameplay footage, so it’s too soon to see what’s actually improved in-game. We have our fingers crossed that it returns to the glory of R.B.I.’s golden NES days.
