There have been rumors about the project being a Superman game, but apparently all of that stuff is just “bulls**t”.
Schreier says the team is working on a game as a service project, which is revolving around a group of superheroes.
In the past, he’s said this group of superheroes isn’t the Justice League, and that a Suicide Squad title has been in the making for a while at Warner Bros. Montreal but eventually got cancelled, so these two options should be out of question.
“I mean, the thing I’ve heard is not Superman at all. I can’t 100% definitively say “No, they’re not doing a Superman game”, but I do not believe it”, Schreier said.
“I think what we’re going to see from them is a game about a group of superheroes, and it will be like a Games as a Service (GaaS) type thing.”
He also added that the game is not Batman related, so we shouldn’t expect it to be a new entry in the Arkham series.
What could it be a this stage? Kotaku acknowledges that an announcment could be coming at The Game Awards 2018, so it shouldn’t take ages for us to learn the truth.
