IGN recently received a mysterious package which hints at the Spyro The Dragon Remastered official announcement. The package comes with a giant purple egg and you can relate it with Spyro.
Great news for those of you still waiting for a Spyro the Dragon remastered announcement. During the last few hours, IGN has indeed received a mysterious package including an egg and a teaser letter possibly hinting at a reveal of the game.
The letter says “something’s about to hatch” and comes together with a package featuring a giant purple egg, something clearly recalling Spyro and his supposed likeness before he, err, turned into a little dragon in the video games.
Interestingly, the letter is signed by Falcon McBob, which is the name behind the official Spyro the Dragon Twitter account currently unverified and with a series of protected tweets on his personal feed.
If we do not consider the fake Treasure Trilogy announce, we have of course to keep into account the Kotaku UK report back in the days, which was pointing at a late March reveal of a remastered Spyro trilogy.
That hasn’t happened in time for March but it is possible that Activision decided last minute to change the way it was going to reveal the title and, even though very slightly, the date of the teaser campaign.
According to that report, the trilogy is said to be including Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and to be releasing as early as Q3 2018.
UPDATE:
More hint that the official announcement of Spyro The Dragon Remastered is coming.
This is not a drill.
Spyro the Dragon Trilogy reveal is definitely inbound very soon.
I’ve been monitoring the domains DNS over the past few weeks and it’s finally switched over from AWS to Akami. Activision serve 99% of their sites via Akami. pic.twitter.com/TRk0j2RIR5
