The Last of Us: Part II Might Feature Second Playable Character In The Future – Emilia Schatz

Thee Last of Us: Part II Co-Lead Gameplay Designer has hinted that the game might feature a second playable character in the future. This is an interesting statement because at E3 2018, Creative Director Neil Druckmann confirmed that Ellie is going to be the only playable character in The Last of Us: Part II.

During an E3 2018 interview, creative director Neil Druckmann said that Ellie is going to be the sole playable character in The Last of Us Part II, which was basically ruling Joel out of the question.

Anyway, a new comment by the co-lead gameplay designer Emilia Schatz is sparking doubts about whether this is actually the case or not. It looks like there could be another playable character, although we don’t know who this could be.

The Last of Us: Part II Second Playable Character

“At this point, we’re just ready to show Ellie as a playable character,” she told JeuxAct. “That may change in the future, but we’re not really ready to talk about that just yet. I think there is quite a lot about this game that has not yet been revealed.”

Well, it’s true we know very little about The Last of Us Part II anyway. We’ve been shown couple trailers and the first gameplay at E3 2018, which was stunning but also so amazing that it looked a bit faked to be proper gameplay.

We know Naughty Dog are magicians so we have a lot of trust and respect to them, and believe that once again they’ll raise the bar for action adventure games whenever they drop the bomb, though.

Which is something we don’t know about – The Last of Us follow up hasn’t been given a release date yet, but it’s granted to be coming on PlayStation 4 and not next-gen platforms.
