Complete Plants vs Brainrots Merge Madness Event Guide

The Merge Madness update for PvB (Plants vs Brainrots) brought a mutation merging machine, where you can merge brainrots with different mutations, making new OP combos that have the bonuses of both mutations applied. How to Merge Mutations in Plants vs Brainrots

The main thing to do during the Merge Madness event in Plants vs Brainrots is to mix various plants and brainrots with different mutations using the Mutation Machine on the Central Island (requires Rebirth 1 to unlock). The plants/brainrots you mix need to be the same type (67, Tomatrio, etc.), but with different mutations. Here is the step-by-step guide on how to use the Mutation Machine:

1. To merge the mutations of two plants/brainrots, take them out and place them into the Mutation 1 and Mutation 2 slots in the Mutation Machine.
   • NOTE: If you try to place a different plant/brainrot or one without any mutations, you’ll get an error message saying what the issue is with what you tried to place.

2. Once you’ve filled the mutation slots, you’ll need to add EXP on the left side of the machine. Hold out an EXP item (EXP Bottle, EXP Vial, EXP Flask, etc.), and use it to fill the EXP bar.
   • Overflow EXP: The overflow EXP will be saved for next mutations and none of it will be wasted.
   • EXP Items: To get EXP items, use the Plant Extractor on the left side of the Central Island.

3. Once you’ve placed the plants/brainrots and the EXP, use the Mix button on the right side of the machine to start merging the mutations.

4. The mutation merging process takes 6-7 minutes, depending on the rarity of the brainrot/plant.
   • NOTE: You can skip the mutation merging process by paying Robux.

5. Once the merging is done, the Mutation Machine will empty, and you’ll receive the merged brainrot/plant in your inventory.
6. The merged brainrot/plant will have increased stats, but the mutation bonuses won’t be multiplicative.
   • NOTE: More often than not the bonus will be 1-2x of the consumed brainrot/plant’s stats. So, it’s best to merge only the weakest plants/brainrots you have.

Can You Merge Mutations For Both Plants and Brainrots?

Yes, you can merge both plants and brainrots, and the produced plant/brainrot will have the mix of the two mutations as its new mutation. If the base mutations were Frozen and Neon, the resulting mutation will be Frozen-Neon.
