There are many animals in Far Cry 5, and hunting will give you valuable items that can be traded off for some cash. There are around 16 animals you can hunt down in the game. Along with this, there are 12 types of fishes you can catch. In this guide, you can find the location of all Animals in Far Cry 5. Below is the list of animals with a value of each skin you can loot from them. Then comes the locations of each of them. But there are certain things you will need to remember before starting hunting, these are very important tips to follow.

Get Boomer, the dog from John’s Region. Boomer has the ability to mark nearby enemies, and he can also mark any animal around. So you don’t have to look for them. So always take Boomer with you. In case you are unable to find any animal in the below spots, try walking around for a while, animals will spawn after some time. Remember the nearest fast travel point, some rare animals won’t appear instantly you have to revisit the place multiple times.
Carry a sniper rifle with you, some animals may spot you and run away, so you can use a sniper to get a headshot. If you had unlocked Leadership Perk (6 points) you can take two Specialist with you, Boomer and Jess are two best when it comes to hunting. The next important perk you will need is King of the Jungle (6 Points), after unlocking this perk you won’t have to fear wild animal attacks plus animals won’t run away seeing you. The last perk you need is Journey Pack that cost 7 Points, it will increase the number of items you carry.
Hunting two main objectives, first to kill a different type of animals so that you can complete challenges which will reward you with perk point, and the second goal is to loot animal skins that can be traded for some money. Remember that not all animals hunting will give you perk points, there are few of them who are connected with the challenge. Look for road signs and magazine to get animal locations.
If you kill animals with bows there are max chances you get bait also, these baits can be later used to lure animals like wolves, cougar or bears. And if you are using a weapon then you won’t get the bait.

Animal Hunting Locations in John’s Region (Keep Boomer with you, the dog will mark the location of the animal)
Deer Location
Walk on the right side of Fall’s End of John’s Region. Look in the straight right side of Redler Creek, cross the road and you will have to look in the woods.
Pronghorn Location
On the South West side of Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm, you have to walk towards the grassy hill. Look for the road intersection point, just walk on the left side.
Elk Location
You have to travel a bit further between Lamp of God Church and Fall’s end. Just before you cross the road and reach a lake, in your path you will spot some Elk’s.
Boar Location
On the north side of Redler Creek, there is a small lake, the boar is found in this region. There is road all around. You have to look for lands with yellow grass.
Cougar Location
You have to walk in between of Fall’s end Rae Rae’s Pumpkin Farm. You have to look for a series of zigzag roads. On the valley nearby you can get Cougar. Look for a farm house, the animals can be spotted around it.
Black Bear Location
Walk on the North side of Lamb of God Church, you have to search for a lake, and around that you can post a Black Bear.
Turkey Location
When you are at Rye & Sons Aviation center walk a bit of North and you will reach woods. You can hunt down the Turkey in this area.
Eagle Location
Carry a sniper, the Eagles are flying high and it is easy to spot them once you are at the location. The Eagle will be found on a valley on the south side of Rae Rae’s Pumpkin Farm. You will have to travel a bit to reach it.
Animal Hunting Locations in Jacob’s Region (Keep Boomer with you, the dog will mark the animal’s location)
Caribou Location
This one s bit tricky to reach. You have a walk through the valleys, on the extreme left of F.A.N.G Center. In the mountains, you will have to find grassy slopes, search for a watchtower. You will spot Caribou grazing around.
Wolverine Location
The location to find Wolverine is somewhere in the valleys on the extreme left of Jacob’s region. You can refer the map images above. There is a road that passes near the location where you can hunt the animal. You have to look for grassy slopes.
Wolves Location
The location to find Wolverine is somewhere in the valleys on the extreme left of Jacob’s region. You can refer the map images above. There is an road that passes near the location where you can hunt the animal. You have to look for grassy slopes.
Grizzly Bear Location
Grizzly Bear can be spotted on the right end of F.A.N.G Center. Look a bit ahead of where you can see a chain of roads in the valleys. The Bear will spawn in open grounds in the valley.
Animal Hunting Locations in Faith’s Region (Keep Boomer with you, the dog will mark the animal’s location)
Bison Location
Spotting a Bison is easy, in Faith’s Region look for Moonflower Trailer Park, look on the right side towards the mountains.
Hare Location
On the North side of Moonflower Trailer Park, you will reach a grassy area, this place is not having many trees. You can spot the Hare in this region.
Skunk Location
Further ahead towards the river edge you can find regions to hunt down Skunk. It is a small valley connected with the road.
Moose Location
For hunting Moose, you will be searching between Drubman Marina and Peaches Taxidermy. It is in the center, of both area, near the road that passes on the right of the lake.
