In The New South Walkthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, you will go on fishing with Dutch and Hosea, helping a Deputy to catch escaped prisoners. The New South Gold Medal requirement: Knock Anders Anderson without taking hit, Return him back to jail in 5 Mins 30 Seconds, Catch a fish with your friends.
In the previous mission Further Questions of Female Suffrag, Arthur and Sadie went to a shopping in the town and faced raiders who were demanding tolls. Sadie was pretty happy in the end to join Arthur outside the camp. For next mission The New South, you will have to locate Dutch. He is standing by the river. Just talk to him to start the mission The New South.
The New South Walkthrough
To earn Gold there are three things you have to do. Knock out Anders Anderson without taking a hit, return back him to jail within 5 minutes and 30 seconds and finally in the end catch a fish with your friends.
Follow Dutch To Creek | The New South
After talking to Dutch he will tell you to follow him. You will be going to fishing with Dutch and Hosea. Dutch will talk about a guard, all three will talk about old times. After riding for a short time you will came across stopped train. There will be a sheriff and deputy driving a jail cart with few prisoners. Dutch will start talking to the Deputy while the four prisoners – The Anderson boys will jump on the train to escape.
Chase The Train | The New South
Dutch will tell Arthur to chase the escaped prisoners. Follow the train. You cannot use the weapons on them. You will have to follow the train for a short while till you are able to reach on the side and jump on the train. The prisoners are also not having any armed weapons. One of them will fall down from the train and now you have to follow the other three. The train will slow down towards the station, you will need to go the left side and speed up to the flat carriage. Jump on the carriage and fight the prisoners.
Chase the remaining Anderson Boys | The New South
One of the prisoners will stop to face, you have to knock him out. In the fight fist fight you can push that man way from the train. The last one will have a knife. You have to knock this man out. He blocks your attacks. You have to be fast in blocking his knife attack. You have to carry the prisoner to the horse and follow the sheriff. He will take you to Rhodes and you will stop at the Sheriff’s office. Carry the prisoners and drop him for a cutscene.
The sheriff will release Dutch’s friend and thanked him for the help. Dutch and Hosea is still in the mood of fishing, they will ask whether you want to join them. You can Accept or Decline the offer. Accept to progress ahead in the mission. Mount your horse and follow Dutch.
Go For Fishing | The New South
Walk towards the boat and there will be a cinematic you will see all three are pushing the boat in the lake. Keeping rowing the boat till Hosea will tell you to stop for fishing. All three will start fishing, so pull out the bait and throw the hook in the lake. Row back to the shore all three will start singing till you see the boat reaches the ground. You will need to follow the yellow spot to dock the boat.
Follow Hosea to the camp, and the mission is over. The next one you can play is The Course of True Love, to start this you have to ride to Rhodes. A bit outside the region there is Gray’s plantation region by Caliga Hall. You will be helping Beau Gray who will ask Arthur’s help to deliver a fit and letter to his love.
