The Dawning returns to Destiny 2 as seasonal cheer spreads around the tower to all the NPCs. Eva Levante has also returned to her favorite spot in the Tower courtyard, trying to get us all to embrace the seasonal cheer and give sweet treats to each other.
For this event, your primary goal will be to gather various ingredients across the solar system to make tasty treats for every NPC. To do this, you’ll need to find them in unique weapons, using a diverse array of abilities, weapons, and hunting down specific enemies. Here’s what you need to know about all The Dawning 2022 ingredients and how to get them in Destiny 2.
All The Dawning 2022 ingredients
The ingredients will drop by taking down enemies with a specific weapon and method while you play Destiny 2 during The Dawning event. This can happen in multiple activities as you play through Destiny 2, so don’t limit yourself to only doing one thing as you work through the event.
Remember, these ingredients are random drops, meaning you may need to work through quite a few enemies to get them to drop. We will update this list as the day goes on, removing any older ingredients that are not included this year and adding new ones as they are discovered. These ingredients have not changed for each year, and for the Dawning 2023, expect to find them in the same place.
These are easy to find and normally boil down to killing the appropriate enemies.
- Balanced Flavors: Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, or Bows kills
- Bullet Spray: SMG, Auto Rifles, or LMG kills
- Cabal Oil: Cabal kills
- Chitin Powder: Hive kills
- Dark Ether Cane: Scorn kills
- Dark Frosting: Stasis Kills
- Delicious Explosion: Grenades, Rocket Launcher or Grenade Launcher kills
- Electric Flavor: Arc kills
- Ether Cane: Fallen kills
- Finishing Touch: Finishers kills
- Flash of Inspiration: Create orbs of power
- Impossible Heat: Solar kills
- Multifaceted Flavors: Multi-kills

For The Dawning 2023, there have been a few additions to the rewards. The Albedo Wing is making its debut in Destiny 2, which many players might be on the hunt to add to their evergrowing collection. You’ll also want to speak with Eva to earn the yearling The Dawning event quest, which should be the same as the 2022 version.
