How to equip weapon modifications and attachments in Cyberpunk 2077

Add a silencer to your weapons.

Base weapons are decent to use in Cyberpunk 2077, but you add even more flair and personality to them by giving them modifications and attachments. Most weapons have a few slots on them, and you can view how many slots they have in your inventory. The modifications and attachments tweak these weapons even further to fit your playstyle, making them silent or do additional damage against a certain type.

How to get weapon modifications and attachments

You can find weapon modifications and attachments all over Night City. We were able to loot many of them by taking down bounties or completing NCPD missions that we found on our map. Many of these missions had lootable items nearby, and there were a few weapon modifications and attachments hidden away.

Alternatively, you can purchase them from weapon vendors in the city. You find them on your map, and if you head to their shop, they’ll show what they have to offer. You’ll be able to expand these vendor’s inventory by increasing your Street Cred, so you’ll need to play through the game to unlock more.

How to equip weapon modifications and attachments

After you’ve looted or purchased your modifications and attachments, jump into your inventory, and go to the weapons portion. Click on any of the weapons you want to modify that you have equipped, and on the left side of the screen, you’ll see what modifications and attachments it takes. All you have to do is click what section you want to add and place in the modification. You do not have to visit a crafting station or your apartment to place them on. You’ll be able to do everything on the fly and even in the middle of a hostile situation when you find a new weapon.
