Strange Cookies are a treat you will need to make during the Dawning 2020 event in Destiny 2. These are for Xur, so if you make them early you will need to wait for Xur to arrive on Friday to give them to him. He will only be around until the reset on Tuesday, so make sure you get it done over the weekend, or you will need to wait for him to show up again.
To make Strange Cookies you will need Taken Butter and Electric Flavor. Taken Butter will drop from Taken enemies anywhere in the game, but there are a couple of spots that are very worthwhile for farming. The Hallowed Grove Lost Sector on the EDZ, near The Sludge, is a great option for most players. People who are new to the game will have access to it and can clear it pretty quickly.
You should be able to pick up four or five Taken Butter on each run. The Lake of Shadows Strike on the EDZ is also a good option. It has Taken enemies all the way through and is a pretty quick clear, so won’t bog you down in a long Strike just to try and get this ingredient.
Electric Flavor can be obtained by kill enemies with Arc energy. We have found that Arc abilities seem to provide a much higher chance of getting it to drop than Arc weapons, so throw on an Arc subclass and head for Blind Well or Altar of Sorrows to get some high body count farming done. When you have both ingredients you can combine them in your Oven to make a Strange Cookie, then bring it to Xur after he arrives in the game.
